We always have nine real ales on sale at all times though our traditional hand pumps - and up to thirteen Thursday to Sundays! That's more than any other pub in Baldock and more than most in the surrounding area! We are passionate about real ale and strive to ensure all our ales are looked after and served perfectly. We don't use top pressure or any other form of unnatural assistance, and our cellar is equipped with modern auto-tilting stillages and cooling equipment.

As of August 2013 we did a deal with Greene King to go free of tie on nine pumps, meaning we can source ales from any small brewer in the country! You can read more about how this all started here!

So there is now more choice of real ales at The Orange Tree than ever, with rare or unusual ales completing the wide range we have! We try to always have at least two draught ales from Buntingford Brewery on sale, through our desire to support local businesses and source as locally as possible. Follow us on Facebook or Twitter to find out what beers are on!

We are the only pub for miles around that permanently stocks Greene King XX Mild - always available and always very, very nice! You'll always also be able to get an excellent pint of Greene King IPA or Abbot Ale here too!
